Moderation and regularity are good things, but not everyone can sleep eight hours, eat three good meals, and drink plenty of water a day. One can, however, still control acne despite one's frantic and unpredictable routine. Probably the most useful lifestyle changes one can make is to never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean one is, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer. People often refer to redness as "scarring," but fortunately, it usually isn't permanent. It's just a mark that takes months to fade if left entirely alone.
Hi, I’m 12 nearly 13 and I have these acne scars, blackheads and tiny pimples scattered all over my face and its so embarrassing for me especially at school since all my friends and girls in my grade have perfect skin. Sometimes people hate me just coz of how I look. I have very sensitive and oily skin but in some conditions it can also become quite dry. My dad too has oily skin so I think its in my genes since my mum also has sensitive skin and oily skin. I have tried as many natural remedies as I could like coconut oil, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, ice cubes, cucumber and steam but none of them really helped… There was no difference. Sometimes it even got worse. :'( Is there any other remedy that could help get rid of my acne and acne scars that are cheap and won’t irritate sensitive skin? Please help if possible… :’0
If you have a genetic problem, the pimples on the face will reoccur through your lifetime. The genetic rationale behind it is that the hyperactive sebaceous glands produce a lot of sebum, leading to pimple formation. In this case, you should consult a skin specialist as home remedies and natural methods may not provide a permanent solution to your problem. For serious acne or pimples, oral medication is necessary for a particular time period. Procedures such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion can be very effective as they minimize the occurrence of acne and also reduce acne spots and blemishes ( 1 , 2 ).
